Jordan Poole got emotional over the tribute video his former team Golden State Warriors made for him, as Washington Wizards faced the Warriors. Poole was seen tearing up as he watched the tribute, amidst a roar of chants of appreciation from the crowd.

The Warriors picked Poole in the 2019 NBA Draft in the first round as the 28th overall pick. Over his tenure at the Warriors, he improved massively and developed into a complete player. A prolific and dynamic shooter with good passing skills, he became a fan favorite and was often dubbed as the third Splash brother, owing to the similar style of play as Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

The Warriors traded Poole to the Wizards along with a few others for legendary point guard Chris Paul. In an interview with The Athletic’s Anthony Slater, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr stated: “I just hate the way it ended for Jordan here, because he is a huge success story.” He expressed his regret over not being handle the situation after the incident of Green and Poole occured, stating: “I know that in my heart, that when [the Draymond Green punch] happened, we handled it the best way we thought we could handle it. But in hindsight — and hindsight is always 20/20 — we could have done better for sure.”
