Despite Uruguay’s best efforts in making a 2-0 victory over Ghana in their Group H clash this Friday at the Al Janoub Stadium, the South Americans couldn’t manage to secure their knockout entry and along with their African adversaries, have crashed out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
In the other Group H clash, South Korea’s 2-1 shocker over Portugal is what rendered La Celeste unable to head into the Round of 16 stage. The final consolation for the two-time champions has been the superb brace from Giorgian de Arrascaeta.

Nunez, from a loose cross, made a glorious attempt to put his team in the lead, but after Ati-Zigi was able to deflect the shot away, it was de Arrascaeta who netted in the opener.
Past just another six minutes, de Arrascaeta got his second of the night. Following a chip from Luis Suarez at the edge of the Ghanaian box, the Flamengo attacking mid blasted a into the Black Stars’ net.
