The recent races haven’t been smooth sailing for Fernando Alonso. Starting from behind, he faced adversity. However, his performance in the latest session was promising. Just two tenths off pole position, he expressed satisfaction with the progress. But there’s more to the story.
In an interview with Marca, Fernando Alonso playfully teased his rivals. He mentioned being “close to good people,” referring to his position ahead of Sergio Perez and the two Ferraris. The latter, fresh from their surprise win in Monte Carlo, have suddenly become contenders for the World Championship. Alonso’s words carry a hint of rivalry and perhaps a touch of nostalgia for his days as a Ferrari driver.
He said, “I think we can do well, but we need to find the path we’ve lost in these last few races. We’ll try to have a race without mistakes, it can rain at any time – closes the Spaniard -, so we will have to make a good start, always be careful which tires to fit and see what happens with the weather.”
Lance Stroll Silencing the Critics with a Bold Message Outqualifying Fernando Alonso
Lance Stroll, the Canadian racing sensation, has been making headlines in the Formula 1 world. His recent performances alongside Fernando Alonso have raised eyebrows and sparked discussions
Stroll’s qualifying battles with two-time World Champion Fernando Alonso have been intense. Despite Alonso’s reputation as a top driver, Stroll has held his ground. It’s a remarkable 4-4 tie in the qualifying sessions, showcasing Stroll’s determination and growth.
Stroll said: “He’s a two-time World Champion and people see him as a top driver in Formula 1 – and it’s 4-4 in quali.
“The points are a little bit deceiving because sometimes one guy can have an engine failure. That sometimes differentiates the points at the end of the season.
“I look at my last few weekends, and I think they’ve been strong.
“When I look at pace right now, and speed, like I said, 4-4 in quali. People say he’s super good and I beat him the last few weekends, so take it as you want.”
