Kansas City Chiefs lost 20-14 against Las Vegas Raiders and Patrick Mahomes was spotted holding back tears with the upsetting game. However, fans were not happy with his outburst. Other players including Travis Kelce was also frustrated as the loss eliminated the Chiefs from AFC 1-seed in the NFL playoffs.
Coming into the match, the Chiefs broke their 2-match loss streak with a 27-17 win over the Patriots. They looked to extend their win streak. The last match between Chiefs and Raiders ended in a one-sided 31-17 victory for the Chiefs. However, the win streak couldn’t extend as the Raiders stopped them with a great performance.
Patrick Mahomes Gets Emotional ‘Again’ After the Loss
Patrick Mahomes got heated during the early stages of the game as the offensive line failed to make points. They punted on their first three dives and got on the scorecard in the second quarter. The Chiefs lost the ball on several occasions that ended in touchdowns for the Raiders. By halftime, the game was quite one-sided with Raiders leading Chiefs by 10 points in a 17-7 scorecard. Kelce also lost his cool as he slammed his helmet into the ground on the sidelines.

Mahomes was teary-eyed and held back tears after the game. Despite the emotional scenes at the game, Mahomes regained composure afterward. In the post-game interview, he said “It’s just how can we correct it as quickly as possible,” He was optimistic about the future, stating “We’re two games left that are guaranteed and then you talk about the playoffs and so all you can do is move on to that next day, get better then and try to be better the next time we step on the field.”
Fans Are Not Buying it
Fans are critical of Patrick Mahomes’s display in the game and his reaction as they took to troll him on social media. Most of the fans were content with the reaction as they were intent on celebrating the loss of the Chiefs and highlighted how Mahomes never faced real pressure. Fans even went on to label him as a crybaby. Fans are very critical of his recent performances and some of them even hit out at the Tom Brady comparisons hurled at Mahomes.

With a dismal display, the Chiefs are delayed at least one week until they can win the AFC West Championship for an 8th consecutive time. The Chiefs look to bounce back in the next two games against Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Chargers.
