Fan barges into the court during 76ers-Wizards; gets tackled by guard

The running list of misdemeanors by fans gets a new addition after a fan, who entered the court premises was tackled to the ground by a guard. The spectator at the Capital One Arena made his way onto the court and attempted to touch the rim before he was brought down to the ground.

The incident occurred during the third quarter of Game 4 between Washington Wizards and Philadelphia 76ers. The fan was seen making his way down to the end of the court where the play was not occurring. Watch the incident right below:

An alert security guard took the culprit down just under the basket which forced the play to be halted.

As the guard attempted to bring the fan down, Dwight Howard was seen taking a closer look at him. The crowd booed the man off as the security official whisked him off the court to allow the play to resume.

The fan that was apprehended by Capital One Arena Special Police after attempting to breach the court will be banned from the arena and charges are being pursued with DC MPD, Washington Wizards proclaimed

Apart from the this fan, the Cetics fan who threw a bottle in the direction of Kyrie Irving is also being slapped with a felony for his actions.

“This is not a game or some s— you can just do whatever you want to do and run around, This is our job, and we take our job very seriously.” Russell Westbrook was quoted as saying after the game

“There are great fans in Boston, New York, Philly, D.C., Utah. But there are some that need to just know, you know what? Stay home. Your thinking is barbaric,” stated Wizards coach Scott Brooks

Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley claims a fan threw beer at him

While the spotlight during the Game 2 between New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks remained on the incident involving Trae Young, another incident occurred that somehow went under the radar.

Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley revealed that beer was thrown at him despite playing in front of his home crowd.

He claimed to reporters that a beer was thrown at the direction of his and teammate Nerlens Noel’s direction.

“Not sure why, not even sure who did it, but it happened,’ Quickley said, per the New York Daily News. “I guess that’s part of having fans in the game.”
