Hankton, who is a former NFL wide receiver had joined the LSU football staff in 2022 as passing-game coordinator and wide receivers coach. Hankton was recently promoted to co-offensive coordinator and guided the Tigers’ offense take-off under Jayden Daniels. Many like the Falcons as a potential destination for Daniels.

The side is undergoing restructuring and they also named Raheem Morris as their new coach. He is very familiar with the organization, as he served as the team’s interim coach after Dan Quinn was fired in 2020. He recorded 4-7 in his stint in Atlanta. However, the side did play better under him.

Morris also held a variety of titles, most notably assistant head coach after joining the Falcons in 2015. He went up the ranks from a position coach to defensive coordinator in 2020, making him the natural choice to take over on an interim basis.

The franchise is reportedly interested in Rams quarterbacks coach/passing-game coordinator Zac Robinson for their offensive coordinator vacancy. Robinson worked with head coach Raheem Morris in Los Angeles.

The team was also linked to Cowboys defensive line coach Aden Durde. According to ESPN, the Falcons have requested to speak with Dallas Cowboys defensive line coach Aden Durde.

In the same year, Morris became the Falcons’ defensive coordinator and eventual interim coach after the firing of Dan Quinn.
