F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali replied to the question, “Possible, but very difficult. Imola, Monza, and Italy are a central part of the calendar, but issues that concern resources and infrastructure must be addressed.”
However, ACI Italy and Liberty Media are currently in talks to confirm two Formula 1 Grand Prix races in Italy until 2030. However, covering the costs solely through ticket sales won’t suffice. F1 Evaluating Points System Change from 2025 Season
F1, the pinnacle of motorsport, is constantly evolving to enhance competition and engage fans. As part of this ongoing effort, discussions are underway regarding potential changes to the points system starting in the 2025 season.
According to reports from Autosport, the primary goal is to allocate points to the top 12 finishers instead of the current top 10. However, the changes will primarily affect the lower positions rather than the podium spots. Specifically, starting from eighth place, there will be a descending scale of points awarded, ranging from 5 points for eighth down to 1 point for the 12th place finisher.
