East Vs West 7- the seventh edition of the highly successful premium arm wrestling event that brings arm wrestling icons from the Eastern and Western hemispheres together on the table, concluded with a highly exciting main event which saw Genadi Kvikvinia earning a hard fought 3-2 win over the legendary Devon Larratt.
EvW7 took place at The Green Park Pendik Hotel & Convention Center in Istanbul on Saturday, May 6th, featuring a stacked card, headlined by the return of Larratt against the Georgian superstar Kvikvinia.
For taking on Kvikvinia weighing in at 140 kgs, “No Limits” Larratt had bulked up to 129 kgs from 115 kgs, as both locked their arms on the table in their heaviest statures. Right from the first round, the straps were on as expected, two fouls committed by Larratt costed him the opening round. The second round, however, saw Larratt overpowering Kvikvinia with his pull, equalling the scores.
Going into the third, Larratt scored another pin to take a 2-1 lead over Kvikvinia, who was seemingly unable to counter the Canadian’s power. However, from the fourth, the Georgian regained his power back, pressing Larratt into a successful pin to equal the scores.
Into the fifth and final round of the super match, Kvikvinia was able to get out of Larratt’s hook and causing him to slide his elbow off the pad. Up next, Kvikvinia made a superb pin on Larratt to
