In a recent podcast, Dale Jr. humorously expressed his annoyance, saying, “If you follow Tyler Reddick on social media, you are guaranteed to get a scooter-shoe combo post every week. What’s up COTA, I’m scooting at Phoenix.” He further revealed that scooters have never interested him personally, despite their popularity. Dale Jr. mused, “I mean they must have a scooter deal. I got these things, they are piled up everywhere. I got two or three at the house the girls are playing with, but I never had the urge to hop on one and take off.”

During a conversation with 23XI Racing co-owner Denny Hamlin, Dale Earnhardt Jr. brought up the topic of scooters, amusingly referring to them as the “Scooter Gang.” Denny couldn’t help but laugh at the mention.

Dale then asked about any scooter deals for the team, particularly considering the length of the Circuit of the Americas track. Denny acknowledged having about nine or ten scooters but clarified that they didn’t have any sponsorship deals or branding on them. However, he hinted that they might consider exploring sponsorship opportunities for the scooters, especially given their mention during the broadcast.

As the conversation progressed, Dale Jr. shifted the topic to Kurt Busch’s scooter, describing it as “awful.” Denny chimed in, suggesting that it looked like an electric scooter. They then joked about the rule against using electric devices on the track, likening it to the “Restart Rule.” This playful banter between them ended the conversation on a light and humorous note, with both sharing a laugh.

Kurt Busch’s unique scooter

While some drivers prefer walking, Kurt Busch often opts for a more scooter-centric approach. During a 2023 Nashville scooting session with the 23XI guys, Busch stood out with a unique scooter that seemed like it belonged to the city of Austin, which he had rented.

Similarly, Tyler Reddick, a prominent “scooter guy” in NASCAR, frequently shares images of himself doing track walks on scooters. Junior, however, finds this trend amusing and sometimes feels like an old man when he gets triggered by the scooter enthusiasts.
