Danny “Chocolate” Myers, a longtime gasman for Dale Earnhardt Sr., Richard Childress Racing, and the famed number-three car, surprised Dale Jr. with a gift that left everyone in awe.
The iconic gift was no ordinary trophy or racing memorabilia. It was something deeply personal—a connection to Dale Sr. that spanned generations. Chocolate handed Dale Jr. a weathered, pair of goggles.

“These are a pair of your dad’s goggles,” Myers said. “I wrote on the strap when I took them out of the car ‘Winner Daytona 125’. Now unfortunately, when I wrote that on there I didn’t put what year. So these could be [from any year]… cause we won it ten years straight man and nobody’s ever going to do that. So I wanted to give you those to hang on the wall.”
