Allgaier suggested that instead of the traditional Scoring Pylons, a good indicator could be utilized. He also reflected on his recent race experience before concluding his conversation by expressing his disapproval of the absence of the scoring pylon, stating, “I am not a fan of no scoring pylon.”

After a wreck during a Texas race, Hamlin instinctively looked for the scoring tower to assess the running order. To his surprise, it was gone. His frustration spilled over during his “Actions Detrimental” podcast. Hamlin emphasized that scoring pylons serves a critical purpose. They provide real-time information to drivers and fans. While video boards exist, they have limitations: displaying only the top eight positions and infrequent scrolling updates.
