CM Punk made his massive thunderous return to WWE on November 25 at Survivor Series in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois. He made his return to the company nearly a decade after his final appearance for the company in 2014. Punk’s last appearance for WWE came during the WWE Royal Rumble 2014, after which he left the company.
WWE was concluding things up at the end of Survivor Series in Chicago. The babyface team comprising of Seth Rollins, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, Cody Rhodes and a returning Randy Orton won the WarGames match by defeating The Judgment Day. However, their celebration was cut short, because ‘Cult of Personality’ hit and massive cheers echoed the Allstate Arena.
CM Punk made his epic comeback to the company as the crowd went berserk. He announced that “it’s Clobbering Time!” and it was a monumental moment, and nobody saw it coming. The Chicago fans blasted “CM PUNK” chants in a right away.
The show ended as CM Punk savored the electric atmosphere of the Allstate Arena as the fan continued to cheer for him. Ahead of his return there had been tons of speculation and massive teases were dropped. It is certainly one of the biggest returns in the history of WWE and we will have to wait and see what is lined-up for CM Punk.
