As the Formula 1 season progresses, Leclerc’s determination to secure pole position is evident. In a recent interview, he expressed his ambitions and commitment to achieving this coveted starting position.

The driver at the front enjoys clean air, which minimizes aerodynamic disturbances. This allows for better performance and consistency throughout the race. Being at the front means avoiding traffic and potential collisions during the chaotic opening laps. It sets the tone for the entire race.

In a surprising move, Ferrari recently announced a change in Charles Leclerc’s race engineer. Xavi Marcos, who had been Leclerc’s trusted voice in his ear since joining Ferrari in 2019, has been replaced by Bryan Bozzi.

Charles Leclerc clarified that the decision to replace Xavi Marcos was made by the team itself. Despite their longstanding working relationship, the team opted for this significant change. Leclerc emphasized that he did not initiate the reshuffle; instead, it was a strategic move by Ferrari.

Leclerc acknowledged that communication has always been crucial in his collaboration with Xavi Marcos. While their relationship had its share of public clashes via team radio, Leclerc believes that effective communication is essential. He aims for a smooth transition and remains focused on the upcoming races.

Leclerc said, “It’s not like I’m starting from zero and that it’s going to be a complete adaptation. It’s been super smooth until now and I’m sure that it will continue that way. That will be at our 100% already from this weekend. That’s all I can say.”

Team principal Fred Vasseur has been making strategic changes within Ferrari. His calmer approach and attention to detail have already improved the team’s performance. Leclerc agreed with Vasseur’s assertion that Ferrari must take calculated risks to challenge Red Bull’s dominance. Every small detail matters in their pursuit of victory.
