according to Barkley and many other New York Knicks fans, Jalen Brunson is currently one of the best players in the NBA.
The New York Knicks had a disastrous 2021-22 season where they finished the season placing 11th in the Eastern Conference with 45 losses and only 37 wins . Knicks management understood something needed to change, and that is when Brunson came into the picture. Brunson signed a four-year,$104 million contract with the New York Knicks after spending the first four seasons of his career with the Dallas Mavericks. Jalen Brunson averaged 11.9 points, 3.7 assists, and 3.0 rebounds in 277 games he played for the Dallas Mavericks.
Brunson was an instant hit for the New York Knicks, he averaged 24.0 points, 6.2 assists, and 3.5 rebounds along with 0.9 steals on 49.1 percent shooting from the field in his first Knicks season. The season also turned out to be the best in Jalen Brunson’s career. Brunson is having an even better season this year, he is averaging 25.8 points, 6.4 assists, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game and giving more weight to Charles Barley’s comments. Brunson has proved that he is currently the best player in the New York Knicks squad as he is leading his team in scoring and assists. But an All-star team is made up of players who fans have voted for the most. This selection criteria can go against Brunson, though he is one of the best players in the NBA this season he may not be the most popular.
