Portland Trail Blazers forward Carmelo Anthony has achieved a stupendous career milestone, registering 27,000 NBA career points in the Friday night clash against the Dallas Mavericks at the Moda Center.
Anthony is the 11th player in the history of the league to achieve such a fate and the astounding career milestone arrived after step back jumper over Mavs stalwart Luka Dončić in the second quarter.
As of now, he’s the second active player in the NBA to breach 27K points, after LeBron James, the Lakers icon and 2020 champion who himself became the third player in NBA history to score 35,000 career points himself.
Trail Blazers vs Mavericks are currently 64-60 at halftime, with Anthony having posted 6 points and 2 rebounds in 13 minutes of play.
