“It would be interesting a fight with him in London, right? ”, said Canelo at the press conference. “Because he is from there, he would be very big. But the truth is that right now I have not spoken nor have I begun to negotiate to see who. I am focused on the rehabilitation of my hand and see how I feel in January. See what the doctor tells me.”

Eddie Hearn, who is president of Matchroom Boxing, also said it’s a fight he envisions for Canelo before any progress is made toward the highly anticipated rematch against WBA’s 175-pound champ Dmitry Bivol.

“The doctor, before coming to Mexico, checked my hand, he told me that everything was fine, that I can start hitting,” Canelo added about the injury to his left hand and that he recently underwent surgery. “So we’ll see, we’ll see if he’s Ryder, if he’s someone else, the truth is that I don’t care.”
