Canelo Alvarez remains firm in his attempt to become a billionaire and in taking the latest step towards that endeavor, he expanded his business into RTD or ‘Ready To Drink’ beverages, with a brand that he has named VMC.
After beating Gennadiy Golovkin via unanimous decision back on 17th September, although not in his best fight of the three fight saga they had, the undisputed super middleweight champion presented the designs of the products, which are nothing more than drinks prepared with tequila, albeit a commitment to a growing sector.
“It’s remembering where you came from no matter where life has taken you. It is being proud of your roots, wherever you are. It is that origin that makes us great. Our origin brought us to this moment. It is that same origin that will take us to where we want to go. Today a dream comes true that shows that we are unique and we are ready to celebrate with all the strength that unites us,” Canelo explained in a recent post on his Instagram.

What does ‘VMC’, the name of Canelo’s new beverage brand mean?
VMC is an acronym for “Viva México Cabrones”, an expression that is in keeping with the Mexicanness that the four-belt champion at 168 exudes, and the tricolor is also presented through the presentations of the three different beverages.
It is explained that there are three presentations. The first is Paloma, a classic combination of all the flavors of our tequila. Next is Margarita, An unparalleled version of this world-famous cocktail, and last but not least Jamaica, which is just flavored water.
