Bubba Pollard’s unexpected comeback at Richmond

Pollard’s journey had its twists. In practice, he set the track on fire, proving his prowess in an Xfinity Series car.

However, during qualifying, he overdrove Turns 1-2, resulting in a less-than-ideal lap. Pollard took it in stride, acknowledging that he made his short-track community proud despite the hiccup. Starting from 37th position, Pollard patiently navigated through a 38-car field. His composure and methodical approach paid off.

Over 250 laps, he battled with fellow racer Parker Kligerman, who later approached him on pit road. Kligerman expressed admiration for Pollard’s racing style and apologized for a bump during the race. Against all odds, Bubba Pollard secured an impressive sixth-place finish.
