The WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and MVP had been paired up with the latter acting as more of a manager. However, MVP has also competed inside the ring on multiple occasions but has been recovering from an injury. WWE announced in September last year that MVP suffered a rib injury while receiving an RKO from Randy Orton. But, the Hurt Business founder took a break from the ring after undergoing legitimate knee surgery. It has been five months since MVP last competed inside the squared circle and he might be making his return to in-ring action soon.

Speaking to Bleacher Report’s Graham “GSM” Matthews, Bobby Lashley said his on-screen ally has recently stepped up his road to recovery:

“MVP’s been rehabbing, I just saw him posting something again today on Instagram doing some work. I know he’s getting ready. Every time he sees me, he’s like, ‘Bro, I’m almost there, I’m almost there.’”

A couple of months after his surgery, MVP returned to WWE programming and continued to work alongside Bobby Lashley. The former United States Champion was at ringside to witness The All Mighty’s WWE Championship victory over Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble on January 29.

Lashley picked up a huge win at this year’s Royal Rumble against Brock Lesnar to win the WWE title. Many considered it to be a ‘dream match’ but it was interfered by WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, that cost ‘The Beast Incarnate’ his match.

Bobby Lashley wants to win tag-team titles with MVP

Although ‘The All Mighty’ currently holds the WWE Championship, he is also open to challenge for the RAW Tag Team Championship with MVP:

“He’s putting on some good weight, he’s training. He just started different diets and everything like that just to harden up and get in that fight shape. So me and P might do a little run at some tag team titles also. There’s so many different possibilities right now that I’m excited that anything could possibly happen.”

We will have to see what plans WWE has in store for MVP when he makes his in-ring return.
