Anthony Davis is in scintillating form. Despite the Lakers losing 4 out of their last 5 games, Davis is at the top of his game. After winning the inaugural NBA in-season tournament Laker’s form dropped drastically.

The Lakers suffered a 114-109 home loss to the New York Knicks on Monday.

James contributed 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists for his second triple-double this season, while Davis notched a double-double of 32 points and 14 rebounds. Despite their effort, the game went against them. ”I feel like our energy was up and down throughout the game,” James said. “We’ve been feeling it. Even through that, we still competed and gave ourselves a chance, but it’s a tough one for us.”

They went on to face The Chicago Bulls without their All-Star guard  Zach LaVine, who is missing his 10th straight game, DeMar DeRozan and Co. were able to begin their six-game homestand with a huge win.

Magic of Lebron and Anthony Davis Was Not Enough

Anthony Davis and Lebron James did their part but the rest of the team faltered under pressure. James recorded a 25-point, 10-rebound double, while Davis with a 19-point, 14-rebound double-double of his own. Davis’s performance in each game under pressure has earned him praise from Bulls coach Billy Donovan  “He’s faced every imaginable defense throughout his career. He’s a very, very elite offensive player.”

Fans Blame Darvin Ham for Laker’s downfall

Los Angeles Lakers coach Darvin Ham was blamed by many fans for their bad run of form. Ham has come under fire due to his minute’s allocations for Taurean Prince, he has been moved to shooting guard after starting the year at the three spot and many other wrong decisions according to the fans.

Ham is still holding an optimistic attitude

“You just got to continue to be aggressive and if you’re open, shoot it,” Ham said. “If it goes in, great. If not, you just have to keep that confidence and keep trying to find different ways to give yourself a chance and I thought we did that. Even down the stretch, even though we came up short, we never stopped competing. And that’s the thing that definitely gives you a ton of confidence.”
