Anne Heche To Be Laid To Rest At Hollywood Forever Cemetery

The 53-year-old late American actress Anne Heche has been decided to be laid to rest at the famous Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles among many other Hollywood superstars.

The death certificate of the late actress, obtained by NBC News, reveal that Heche was cremated on 18th August and her ashes were laid in a mausoleum at Hollywood Forever Cemetery almost after two weeks she was declared legally dead at a hospital from injuries suffered during a fiery car crash.

It showed that the “Hour of Lead” star would be buried at the same Hollywood Forever Cemetery, a well-known tourist destination in Los Angeles that acts as the ultimate burial for some of the most beloved Hollywood celebrities which include Judy Garland, Burt Reynolds, Valerie Harper and Estelle Getty. In recent years the cemetery has become a center for musical performances, film screenings, and festivals.

Homer Laffoon and Atlas Heche Tupper, the two sons of Heche said in a statement that they “are convinced our Mom would love the site we have chosen for her; it’s beautiful, serene and she will be among her Hollywood peers.”

“Most importantly, Hollywood Forever is a living place, where people attend movies and concerts and other events,” their statement continued, “She was our Mom, but the kindness and the outpouring of the past few days reminded us that she also belongs to her fans, to the entertainment community, and now, to the ages.” [H/T Today.com]

In 2002, Heche and her ex-husband Coley Laffoon welcomed their son Homer. The actress shared Atlas with ex-boyfriend James Tupper. She co-starred with James Tupper on the ABC series “Men in Trees.”

The cause of death was ascribed to “inhalation and thermal injuries” as the death certificate of Heche listed the death of her date as 11th August. The certificated listed “sternal fracture due to blunt trauma” as another major factor in her death.

On 5th August, Heche was embraced in a car accident consequently she crashed her Mini Cooper into a home in Los Angeles which caused a serious fire. The Emmy award winner was left intubated and she was in a coma after the accident. The star also suffered a critical anoxic brain injury.

In a statement, the Heche family stated: “We have lost a bright light, a kind and most joyful soul, a loving mother, and a loyal friend. Anne will be deeply missed but she lives on through her beautiful sons, her iconic body of work, and her passionate advocacy. Her bravery for always standing in her truth, spreading her message of love and acceptance, will continue to have a lasting impact.”

The “Silver Bells” star was removed from life support as a representative of Heche confirmed on 14th August.

A spokesperson from the Los Angeles Police Department told NBC News on 11th August that a precursory test of Heche’s blood revealed she had drugs in her system during the time of car crash. While the LAPD said the accident would be investigated as an offense.

After Heche’s death, the LAPD confirmed that it would not investigate the accident anymore.
