In her seventh WNBA season, Wilson broke the league’s single-season scoring and rebounding records, finishing with an impressive 1,021 points. Her remarkable achievements also include winning her second Olympic gold medal this summer with USA Basketball.
Nike’s Investment in Aja Wilson
Nike decided to extend Wilson’s contract after naming her to their roster of signature athletes in May. The new deal will see the launch of Wilson’s signature shoe, the “A’One,” set to be released in spring 2025 ahead of the WNBA season. This endorsement ranks among the highest-paid in women’s basketball, reflecting Wilson’s influence and marketability.
Joining the Ranks of Elite Athletes
Wilson’s new contract places her among the elite group of female athletes with lucrative shoe deals. Earlier this year, Caitlin Clark signed an eight-year contract worth over $20 million with Nike, while JuJu Watkins agreed to a multiyear extension in October. Sabrina Ionescu, another standout player, debuted her second signature shoe with Nike this spring.
