Argentine MMA fighter Ailín Pérez achieved her first victory in the UFC this Saturday night at UFC Vegas 77 and celebrated in a way that left the fans amused- by doing a twerking dance in the center of the Octagon.
In the undercard of the event headlined by Holly Holm vs. Mayra Bueno Silva, Pérez faced Ashlee Evans-Smith in a women’s bantamweight clash on 15th July at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
After having fallen in her UFC debut in September 2022, when she was submitted in the second round against Stephanie Egger, the Argentine had a second chance to taste victory, and she did so with a dominating unanimous decision win over Evans-Smith (30-25, 30-25, 30-26).
Give that cameraman a performance bonus: Fans react to Ailín Pérez twerking in the Octagon
However, more than her maiden victory in the Octagon, the primary reason “Fiona” captured all eyes, was the twerking dance she did as soon as her hand was raised, which stole the attention of the MMA fans.

Pérez’s twerk was received with much amusement from the fans, who took to social media to express their reactions.
“Give that cameraman a performance bonus,” joked one fan.
“The refs reaction was priceless. Supportive, but wants nothing to do with it,” another pointed out how the referee reacted to it.
“Best post fight celebration in history?” one more commented.
As for her career is concerned, Pérez has 8 wins as a professional, with 2 losses, and four of her wins have come via knockout and one via submission. The Argentine has been characterized as a fighter with great charisma, and courtesy of her celebration last weekend, Pérez is expected to become a favorite among the UFC fans in the near future.
