Former IBF super featherweight and WBC interim lightweight champion JoJo Diaz Jr (32–2–1, 15 KOs) is all set to return to the ring this November and wants to tie up an old loose end – the undefeated Ryan Garcia.

Coming from a loss against Devin Haney, the now undisputed 135-pound champion who defended his WBC belt against him last December, Joseph “JoJo” Diaz is all set for a comeback to the squared circle this November 5th, with an opponent yet to be confirmed.
However, the 29-year-old southpaw already has his aim set, to settle an unfinished business he has with Ryan Garcia. The two were supposed to lock horns in November last year, but “The Flash” pulled out of the fight citing hand injury, and Diaz went onto face Haney instead. Speaking to BoxingScene.com in a recent interview, Diaz said that he wants a rebooking of the Garcia fight.
“I still want the Ryan fight. We have unfinished business,” said Diaz, “I saved him two times last year. He pulled out of the Javier Fortuna fight and I stepped up in weight and on short notice to fight him and I beat him.”
“Then me and Ryan were supposed to fight last November and he pulled out with a hand injury. I went and fought Devin Haney, someone he never fought even when he had the chance to. Now that I have a fight date, I would love to fight Ryan.”
Garcia, who recently picked up a win against Javier Fortuna in a Light Welterweight bout earlier this month, has been calling the shots for a clash against Gervonta Davis, and has also said that he feels more comfortable at 140. Touching upon that, Diaz said he is ready to take on Garcia at 138-pound catchweight.
“If he don’t want to fight at 135 anymore, I don’t mind fighting him at a catchweight at 138 just to make the fight happen. If it’s trouble for him, I don’t mind doing the higher weight for that fight,” Diaz added.
