As his works seem to suggest, undisputed champion Terence Crawford is eager to have a fight with another undisputed champion in Canelo Alvarez and continues to insist on the same.

There’s no fighter out there that’s a bigger fight then us: Terence Crawford

While both boxers have shown interest in facing each other, between the two, the one who has displayed the most insistence on having a potential confrontation with the Mexican is Terence Crawford.

The current undisputed champion at, welterweight, “Bud” took to his social networks to state that he and Canelo could make the biggest fight in boxing today and that in current boxing there is no one who can make it, only them.

“Canelo vs Crawford is the biggest fight in boxing. There’s no fighter out there that’s a bigger fight then us,” Crawford posted on X.

After his victory over Errol Spence Jr. back in July for the undisputed crown, Crawford insisted on a possible fight with Canelo and for the same, he is even willing to move up to 168 pounds to challenge him.

It would be a jump of three divisions to make that megafight and the notion has generated various reactions. While some see it as a lack of respect towards the sport, others believe that in sharing the ring with the Mexican, Crawford would teach Canelo a lesson.

Canelo, on the other hand, had said that otherwise they would give him credit for facing an opponent who would move up to super middleweight, in addition to stating that Crawford has only won one big fight in his career. Despite such comments, Crawford remains interested in facing Canelo, and has expressed this at every opportunity.

In the meantime, Top Rank’s Bob Arum gave his opinion on a possible Canelo vs. Crawford card, stating that while he’s not counting out Crawford, the sheer physical advantage of Canelo would work in his advantage.

“You’d have to favour Canelo in the fight, because he’s the bigger and stronger guy. But we promoted so many Crawford fights, and he is a tremendous, tremendous talent,” Arum told ProBoxingFans. “I wouldn’t count Crawford out in any fight, though obviously Canelo would be a big favourite in that fight.” [H/T Boxing Social]
