The Golden State Warriors have finally broken their three game losing skid with a 121-115 win over Orlando Magic, but one but one instance from the match involving Steph Curry and Franz Wagner has become the hot topic.

Curry, who was pivotal in the Warriors’ victory, had received a knock on his head and chin from Wagner and was visibly impacted by the collision. The point guard then invited to review the play for a possible flagrant foul, but it was ignored by the referees. The commentators had opined that it was a foul on the German’s end, during the replay.

Steph Curry clocks 36 points & 6 assists to power the Warriors to victory

Despite the incident with Wagner, Curry ended up being the best player on the court during the Warriors vs. Magic clash at San Francisco on Tuesday night. The 35-year-old scored a game-high 36 points, a team-high six assists, as well as four steals, as the hosts powered to their comeback victory.

Having lost to the Denver Nuggets on the road and both Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks at home, it was pivotal for Steve Kerr’s side to return to winning ways and in their third hosting in a row, they were able to snap their skid.

“Steph was amazing,” said the head coach following the win. “But Steph is always amazing. Even when he doesn’t score 36 points, just the attention he draws defensively, what he does to an opposing defense, the way he opens up the floor, he’s a remarkable player. He really got himself going on a night when we needed it.” [H/T AP News]

The seven time champions are currently at 11th position in the Western Conference and will host the Nuggets in their upcoming clash on Friday. In breaking their three match losing streak, the Warriors handed the Magic their second defeat in a row.

The Magic had lost to the Phoenix Suns on the road in their previous outing. For their part, they are fifth in the Eastern Conference and will travel to Sacramento to face the Kings tomorrow.
