After spending two years in the midfield with Aston Martin, Vettel retired from Formula 1 at the end of the 2022 season. However, his hunger for competition remains undiminished. During 2023, Vettel tested with Porsche for their pre-Le Mans preparations, fueling speculation about a potential comeback.
Red Bull currently has an unconfirmed seat for 2025, as Sergio Perez’s contract approaches its end. However, Helmut Marko believes that pairing Vettel with Max Verstappen wouldn’t be ideal. Marko stated, “Next to Verstappen, I don’t think that would be a pleasant time for him.” The demands of competing alongside Verstappen, one of the sport’s rising stars, could pose challenges for Vettel.
Sergio Perez’s Dramatic Crash at Monaco Grand Prix: A Red Bull Nightmare
Sergio Perez, the Mexican driver for Red Bull Racing, experienced a heart-stopping moment during the opening lap of the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix. The incident left fans and fellow racers in shock as his car was reduced to a mangled wreck.
As the race began, Perez found himself in a tight spot. Haas driver Kevin Magnussen squeezed him going up the famous Monte-Carlo hill after turn one. The contact between their cars was catastrophic. Perez’s right rear wheel collided with Magnussen’s front left tire, sending the Red Bull into the armco barrier. The impact was brutal, and debris littered the track.
The race was red-flagged immediately after the crash. Perez’s car was completely destroyed, and the rest of the racers had to navigate around the wreckage. Fortunately, Perez walked away unharmed, but the incident left everyone shaken.
