WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley spoke about the difficulties for re-establishing The Judgment Day after they ousted WWE Hall of Famer Edge. The dark faction comprises of Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio. However, it was originally formed by The Rated R Superstar.
Back in June last year, Finn Balor joined Judgement Day and ended up taking over the faction. They went on to turn on Edge and ousted him in a shocking turn of events. It marked the first time Balor was a heel in pro wrestling in many years.
Rhea Ripley comments on Judgment Day
While speaking to India Today, Rhea Ripley stated that without Edge, the faction needed to work hard to make an impact which they did. She went on to admit that it was hard to re-establish The Judgment Day after kicking out Edge from the faction.
“There was never really a discussion about it. I think we just all felt the same way. It was hard at the start because we started with Edge, then we took Edge out because we didn’t like being bossed around and we took Finn in. Unfortunately, as soon as we did that, I got injured. I got taken out for a bit. So I wasn’t there to be there with the boys and build this new Judgment Day that we were trying to make and accomplish and put over for the crowd.”
Ripley is currently the WWE Women’s World Champion. NXT North American Champion is held by Dominik Mysterio while Damian Priest and Finn Balor are the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions.
