The Charlotte Hornets are trading veteran guard Terry Rozier to the Miami Heat in exchange for another veteran guard Kyle Lowry and a 2027 first-round pick. The Miami Heat are getting ready for the second half of the season as they are getting six-time all-star Kyle Lowry and a 2027 protected first-round pick.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski wrote on X: “The Charlotte Hornets are trading Terry Rozier to the Miami Heat for a 2027 first-round pick and Kyle Lowry, sources tell ESPN.”
The Charlotte Hornets are living a nightmare as they are currently seated at the 13th position with only 10 wins in 41 games and have lost 7 of their last 10 games this season. They will be looking to rebuild their team and get back into competition and for that, they are getting a veteran guard among their ranks.
Kyle Lowry will bring in a lot of experience and will help a lot in compacting their team. Lowry failed to make an impact for the Miami Heat despite all the buzz and excitement his signing created in 2021 when Miami signed him to a three-year 85-million dollars deal.
Terry Rozier can achieve what Kyle Lowry couldn’t
Kyle Lowry never really got going for Miami but this year turned out to be his lowest-scoring season since 2008-09. He is averaging 8.2 points and 4.0 assists per game this season.
On the other hand, Terry Rozier is on a dream run of form, he is having the best season of his career. In Over 30 games, he’s averaging 23.2 points and 6.6 assists per game, both career-highs. Even the Los Angeles Lakers were interested in acquiring the 29-year-old
