Cars already entered into Sunday’s All-Star Race were set to qualify via a modified format. Drivers were supposed to make three laps: one for qualifying, one for a pit stop, and a third for competition.

The pit stop on Friday served as the Pit Crew Challenge and determined the Heat Races’ lineup based on the fastest legal stops.
