We will be finally witnessing the biggest fight of this year in boxing so far, as well as one of the most anticipated fights of this generation- a showdown between two grudge rivals, Gervonta Davis (28-0, 26 KOs) and Ryan Garcia (23-0 19 KOs) this Saturday, 22nd April at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Davis, the reigning WBA (Regular) lightweight champion and Garcia, the former interim WBC lightweight champion, will be squaring off in the ring in a catchweight 136 lbs bout, with a 10 lbs rehydration clause.
“Tank” Davis is coming off an 8th round win over Hector Garcia back on 7th January in Washington, D.C, where he defended his WBA belt. On the other hand, “KingRy” marked two victories last year, against Emmanuel Tagoe and Javier Fortuna.
The Davis vs. Garcia card is also featuring a title fight- a WBA (Regular) Super Middleweight title fight featuring the reigning champion David Morrell, who will be defending his belt against Yamaguchi Falcão.
