The Golden State Warriors missed a chance to close out their first-round series at home on Friday, and nobody was more disappointed by that than Steph Curry’s son.
The Warriors fell to the Houston Rockets 115-107 in Game 6 at Chase Center in San Francisco, Ca. on Friday, forcing a decisive Game 7. After the game, Curry approached his family in the stands while he was on his way to the tunnel. Among those present was his six-year-old son Canon, who was so upset about the loss that he did not even want to speak to his father.
Canon even looks away from Steph, burying his face in mother Ayesha’s shoulder instead. That’s rough.
Of course, Canon had ample reason to be upset, as this was an ugly one for the Warriors. Curry did score 29 points in the defeat, but went just 9/23 from the field with five turnovers. Curry is playing with an injured thumb, and Houston’s physical defense against him has sought to exploit that injury.
As we already know, Canon loves basketball and has extensive knowledge of the Warriors’ past. The squad isn’t finished yet, but this one had to hurt. However, in order to prevent another blown 3-1 series lead, they will need to win in Houston.
