The highly awaited Errol Spence Jr vs. Terence Crawford clash has reportedly reached an agreement and the fight is now expected to take place on the 29th of July, and is expected to take place in Las Vegas.
There have been numerous failed attempts to reach an agreement on the dream fight for the undisputed welterweight title in the past, but the fight remains one of the most anticipated of this generation and now it seems its nearing fruition and is expected to become official in the coming days.
In addition to the date, there is also a venue for the long-awaited fight at 147 pounds- the T-Mobile Arena.
The report was made by Mike Coppinger of ESPN on Twitter.
“Breaking: Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. have agreed to a deal to fight for the undisputed welterweight championship on July 29 at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, sources tell ESPN. Al Haymon, who advises Spence, and CAA’s Ish Hinson (Crawford’s advisor) will deliver the most anticipated boxing match since Mayweather vs Pacquiao in 2015,” Coppinger wrote.

Errol Spence Jr vs. Terence Crawford has a rematch clause
Each of the fighters is expected to earn at least $10 million, however, the net payout is estimated to be much more, and there is also a rematch clause for both.
“They will each earn eight figures guaranteed for the Showtime PPV fight,” Coppinger further revealed. “And there’s a two-way rematch clause that the loser can activate within 30 days of the fight.”
