Starting in the 2025 NASCAR season, an exciting in-season tournament will take place, the tournament will feature a 32-driver bracket. These drivers will compete in a single-elimination format over the course of five races. the 32 drivers will be determined based on their performance in races 15-17 of the regular season. Seeding within the bracket will be established by each driver’s best finish in those three races, with tiebreakers determined by subsequent finishes and overall season points position.

The tournament races will be telecast on TNT as part of NASCAR’s new television deal, which includes various broadcasting partners for different segments of the season offering a $1 million first-place prize. When NASCAR posted a post on X about the event, Denny Hamlin boldly wrote, “This is such a win for our sport and drivers. Many story lines will made during this 5 week period. Denny Hamlin after disappointing finish of 23XI Racing at Kansas
Denny Hamlin, co-owner of 23XI Racing delved into the poor performance of the drivers, Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick at Kansas. Both of the drivers had decent speed in the practice and qualifying but none of them managed to get in front in the race that bothered Denny Hamlin as he shared insights about the Kansas race.

“It was a disappointing week. It was a long week. We definitely downloaded a lot over the week of what led to that type of performance for those cars and think we’ve got a good grasp on it. So I think everyone’s gonna be better for it.”
