Britney Spears is grateful to the legendary icon Elton John for establishing her name at the top of the list one more time. The singer gifted the Rocket Man the personalized rocket-inspired salt and pepper shakers to celebrate their duet, “Hold Me Closer.”
Britney Spears gifts a pair of rocket salt and pepper shakers to the ‘Rocket Man’
Following the launch of the Britney Spears-Elton John duet Hold Me Closer which is wonderfully streaming all over the world, Spears gave a gift to the British music icon and he could not help but show off the rocket ship-shaped salt and pepper shakers on his Instagram.
On 2nd September, Elton wrote adding two rocket ship emojis, “Thank you @britneyspears for the fabulous rocket salt and pepper shakers!! @davidfurnish and I love them.” The hashtag #HoldMeCloser was also included by him.

“Thank you Tiny Dancer!!” wrote John’s husband, David Furnish commenting on the post.
Spears shared a message with her fans on Twitter and Instagram on the same day, where she tweeted: “Thank you to my fans for making my song number one for a week now.”
Visibly it also reflected on her working with John, she wrote on Instagram separately, “The fact that I’m doing a song with Elton .. makes me wanna freaking cry.”
In a part she added, “He’s me and my mother’s favorite musician. What an honor to be with such gifted hands!!!”
On 26th August “Hold Me Closer” was released which is a combination of John’s hits “Tiny Dancer” and “The One.” The Rocket Man spoke about the experiences of working with Spears.
In an interview with The Guardian, the 75-year-old said: “I’m so excited to be able to do it with her because if it is a big hit, and I think it may be, it will give her so much more confidence than she’s got already and she will realize that people actually love her and care for her and want her to be happy. That’s all anybody in their right mind would want after she went through such a traumatic time.”
Further, he shared that it was his husband who suggested for the collaboration with Spears on the single with him.
“He said it would be wonderful for Britney Spears to do it. I said, that’s a pretty amazing idea. She hadn’t done anything for so long. I’d been following what’s been happening to her for a long time,” he said, referring to her conservatorship battle that ended the previous year.
