Former multi-time Women’s Champion Becky Lynch recently expressed her desire to script history yet again. Becky Lynch competed in the main-event WrestleMania 35 with Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair when the event was still a one-night affair. WWE went to two nights for the “show of shows” the next year, but a men’s match has closed the weekend on all four events since then.
WWE once again scripted history was made once again at WrestleMania 37, as Bianca Belair defeated Sasha Banks for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship in a classic. Night one of WrestleMania 37 marked the first time in history that two Black women main evented a WrestleMania.
Becky Lynch comments on the matter
Speaking with Cosmopolitan UK, Lynch was asked what she has on her wrestling bucket list. Lynch says she wants to main event WrestleMania again, but added a twist.
“I suppose there’s always the want to main-event WrestleMania again, and now WrestleMania has a new format, it is two nights,” Becky Lynch said. “So it would be nice to be the first woman to main-event the second night of WrestleMania. Now we’ve got new women’s titles, so I want to win both of them.”
Becky Lynch recently competed in the Women’s Money In The Bank. However, the match was eventually won by the Damage CTRL member IYO SKY.
