A perceptible cooking incident burned Arizona Cardinals cornerback Antonio Hamilton and intricated the defensive backfield of the team.
As per the reports of Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo from NFL Network, cornerback Antonio Hamilton was added to the non-football injury list on Thursday following a “cooking accident in his home.” Not less than first four weeks of the season would be missed by the former Giant while he recovers.
Recently, the 29-year-old American football player was cooking a meal and at that time he spilled hot oil all over his body accidentally, according to insiders of NFL Network, Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.
The report was confirmed by Hamilton the by tweeting a picture of a pair of legs and feet with apparent burns on a hospital bed.
The player says that in the accident he suffered burns on his thighs and feet. However, he was grateful as it was not that critical.
Hamilton wrote on his Twitter, “I had an accident that could’ve ended up deadly for me & my family. But instead, I got the short end of it by having my feet severely burned.”
It is really a very hapless break for the defensive back as he had just crushed Cardinals training camp and earned a starting job. Indeed, Hamilton called it “the greatest camp of my career.”
Had the greatest camp of my career & last Monday I had a accident that could've ended up deadly for me & my family but instead I got the short end of it by having my feet severely burned (2nd degree). It is unknown how much time Hamilton will eventually miss yet in his social media post on Thursday he said, “God spared me to only have these injuries.”
In 2016, Hamilton broke into the NFL as an undrafted free agent. For several years, he jounced around the league. But after that, he bolted on the last season with the Cardinals.
