It is now very evident that Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua haven’t forgotten about each other, as Joshua has responded to Fury’s ‘Battle of Britain’ challenge, saying that he will be ready to square off in December.
Tyson Fury ready to put his WBC belt on the line against Anthony Joshua
Fury and Joshua were close to having an undisputed heavyweight title clash last year. However, Joshua went on to lose his unified WBA (Super), WBO and IBF titles to Oleksandr Usyk, while Fury continued to defend his WBC title against Deontay Wilder and then Dillian Whyte.
‘The Gypsy King’, was recently in conversations for an undisputed fight against Usyk. However, the Ukrainian recently backed away from the fight, saying that he needs some time away from the ring.
As it turns out, the Briton still wants the smoke from his compatriot as Fury recently took to Instagram to throw a challenge to Joshua for his WBC and lineal heavyweight championships in a clip captioned “Call out to Anthony Joshua”.
“I think you’ve all heard that I’m going to be fighting soon within the next few months. I think that before I announce an opponent that I need to do this just in case,” Fury said in the clip, “Anthony Joshua, I know you’ve just lost a fight to Usyk and you’re bout-less at the moment, and I’d like to give you an opportunity to fight me for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world and the lineal championship in the next few months.”
“If you’re interested I’ll send you the date over and we can rumble. A battle of Britain for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world. Let me know if you’re interested, if not I will select another opponent,” he added. [H/T Boxingscene.com]

Fury later followed up with a post on Twitter. “Yo Anthony Joshua what you saying big G let’s give the fanz what they want as Usyk is bitching??? I got the date and venue who will rule Britannia?” tweeted Fury.
AJ, who suffered a second loss to Usyk in their rematch back on the 20th of August, thumbed up to Fury’s challenge, reposting his tweet and saying that he will be fight ready in December.
“Yea calm. I don’t do the online discussions just for clout, so if your really about it shout @258mgt . I’ll be ready in December. Khalas,” wrote Joshua.
