In the aftermath of a disappointing Game 2 loss to the Dallas Mavericks, Minnesota Timberwolves’ rising star Anthony Edwards remains steadfast in his belief that panic is not the answer. Despite the setbacks, Edwards exudes confidence that the team will bounce back.

“I don’t think anybody in the locker room is panicking,” Edwards said. “I hope not. Just come out and play our brand of basketball. We let ‘em make a run.”

“They’re just showing me crowds, man, sitting in the gaps,” Edwards said. “But I’m turning down a lot of shots, like my midranges and stuff. I’m turning a lot of those down. But we’re getting open looks, so I ain’t trippin’.”

what went wrong for Anthony Edwards and The Wolves?

The Wolves struggled to contain the Mavericks’ offensive firepower. Defensive rotations were slow, and communication breakdowns allowed open shots. Edwards acknowledges this and emphasizes the need for better defensive discipline moving forward.

Minnesota’s offense sputtered at times. Shot selection was questionable, and they failed to capitalize on key possessions. Edwards, known for his scoring ability, aims to lead by example and elevate the team’s offensive execution.

The Mavericks dominated the boards, limiting the Wolves’ second-chance opportunities. Anthony Edwards recognizes the importance of crashing the glass and securing defensive rebounds to disrupt the opponent’s rhythm.

Despite these challenges, Edwards maintains a positive outlook. He points to the resilience of the locker room—a group of athletes who refuse to succumb to panic. They recognize their mistakes, learn from them, and adjust their game plan accordingly.

In Anthony Edwards’ words, “We’ll be alright.” The series is far from over, and the Wolves have the talent and determination to turn things around. As they regroup and prepare for the next battle, fans can expect a fierce fight from this young team.
