When professional wrestlers and mascots cross paths, the outcome frequently becomes a tad uncomfortable for the latter. On the February 10th, 2024 installment of AEW Collision, Vegas Golden Knights costumed mascot Chance received a harsh education.
CHANCE WAS TAKEN DOWN BY BRIAN CAGE
In the third match of Collision, Brian Cage took on Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd, also known as The Outrunners. In what essentially was a walk in the park for Cage, he completely destroyed the duo, ending the match with a powerbomb on Turbo. Prince Nana, as usual, was present at ringside.
After the match, Nana tried to celebrate the victory with his trademark dance, joined by a man portraying Chance, the mascot of the National Hockey League (NHL) side Vegas Golden Knights. Cage initially applauded the performance, only to attack Chance from behind, knocking him to the ground in the process. The audience in Henderson, Nevada, a city close to Las Vegas, jeered the attack, as did the commentators.

ORANGE CASSIDY AND TOMOHIRO ISHII MAIN EVENTED AEW COLLISION
Elsewhere in AEW Collision, Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli of the Blackpool Combat Club defeated Star Jr and Esfinge, who represented CMLL, in a competitive contest. CMLL, the oldest active professional wrestling promotion in the world, and one of Lucha Libre’s big two, alongside the breakway promotion AAA, has recently been a recurring presence on AEW shows.
The main event of Collision saw Orange Cassidy defending his AEW International Championship against “The Stone Pitbull” Tomohiro Ishii. While Ishii certainly put Cassidy’s second reign into jeopardy multiple times into the match, the Champion was able to roll the challenger up for the pinfall victory. The Undisputed Kingdom attacked Cassidy after his defence, but Ishii and Trent came to his rescue.
