Christopher Díaz, the former WBO junior lightweight title challenger is set to face off against WBO featherweight champion Emanuel Navarrete on 24th April this year.

Emanuel Navarrete to defend his WBO belt against Christopher Díaz
A former WBO Youth featherweight and WBO-NABO junior lightweight titleholder, Christopher Díaz (26–2, 16 KOs) lost the WBO junior lightweight title fight against Masayuki Ito in July 2018, followed by another defeat Shakur Stevenson in 2019 April where Díaz lost the chance to clinch the IBF Inter-Continental and vacant WBO-NABO featherweight belts.
However, the 26-year-old Puerto Rican, who won both of his 2020 fights, now has a chance to hold the WBO featherweight belt as he steps inside the ring against the current champion Emanuel Navarrete (32–1-1, 27 KOs), at a location yet to be decided.
Emanuel Navarrete, who formerly defended his WBO junior featherweight title five times since 2018, won the vacant WBO featherweight belt on 9th October last year when he defeated Ruben Villa via unanimous decision at the MGM Grand Conference Center in Paradise, Nevada.
Facing Díaz will be the first WBO featherweight title defense of Navarrete’s career, and his sixth overall title defense.
