William Shelby: Will Compton’s new avatar gets hilariously trolled

On Wednesday, Will Compton decided to get the iconic hairstyle that the main characters of ‘Peaky Blinders’ have on the series, including the protagonist Thomas Shelby (played by Cillian Murphy).

He also announced the same on Twitter, stating that he will have a new persona ‘William Shelby’ as Titans take on Packers this week. However, he was also ready “to get roasted.”

“Peaky Blinder’s suit picked up, shaved to a mustache, getting a Shelby style haircut right now. About to take on the name “William Shelby” when traveling to Green Bay on Saturday. Can’t wait to get roasted until then with this look,” Compton tweeted, followed by a couple of photos of his final ‘low skin fade’ haircut.

Needless to say, the roasts were on their way.

“It’s horrible. He needs to cut it all off and start over,” Compton’s teammate AJ Brown was quoted by Jim Wyatt via a tweet.

“There are no words to describe what he was thinking when he got that. … It’s just a terrible, terrible look. And you guys can tell him I said that,” Titans guard Rodger Saffold was quoted by Joe Rexrode of the Athletic.

Amongst the multitude of roasts from fans and the rest of NFL Twitter, Titans themselves joined with a hilarious fake injury report, citing Will Compton’s ‘haircut’ as the injury and trolling him as ‘doubtful’ at Green Bay.

“Sending this to the media after practice,” Titans’ official Twitter handle posted.

However for Compton, its all in good sport.

With 10 wins and 4 losses, Titans are currently leading AFC South.

Titus, elder brother of Corey Davis was battling a rare  form of kidney cancer

Titus Davis, like his younger brother, was a WR himself who played college football for the Central Michigan Chippewas for four seasons and set records for most receiving yards (3,700) and touchdown receptions (37) in a single season in the team’s history.

In 2015, he was picked up as an undrafted free agent by San Diego Chargers but was released shortly after. He later had short stints with Jets, Bills, and Bears, but never made an appearance for either of those teams.

Unfortunately, the 27-year-old was diagnosed with renal medullary carcinoma which is one of the rarest yet most dangerous forms of kidney cancer earlier this year. After months of struggle, the older Davis breathed his last this Wednesday.

Corey Davis couldn’t hold onto his tears before Colts clash

The two Davis siblings shared a strong bond through football that the NFL scene was well known about, courtesy of Corey, who also revealed that Titus is the sole reason he has taken up football as a career.

“He’s the sole reason I’m playing this sport today,” Corey Davis said in an interview in 2016, “we’re always working and getting better together. He’s helped me, even when I was at Western [Michigan], and he was at Central. He’s helped me find things I need to do better and improve on.”

Losing his inspiration has undoubtedly left him shredded from the inside, as Corey was seen in tears before Titans took on Colts today for their Week 10 clash.

Corey covered 67 receiving yards, with an average of 13.4 as Titans suffered their third defeat of the season. They are now 2nd in the AFC South and will take on Ravens next.
