It has come just days after receiving his main roster call-up. Solo Sikoa had stepped up to challenge Hayes for the title. The back-and-forth match ended with Sikoa shocking the fans by successfully pinning Carmelo Hayes with a diving splash to win the title. He then thanked Hayes while pinning him.

The brand celebrated the special milestone on this week’s edition of NXT and Carmelo Hayes was set to defend his North American Championship against Wes Lee after the latter was voted to face Carmelo Hayes by the fans. However, Lee was in no condition to fight because of a vicious assault by Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes.

Just when fans thought they wouldn’t get to witness the title match, it was the newest member of The Bloodline who stepped up for the challenge. In the past, there was famously an audio bite of Seth Rollins pinning Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 31 and subtly saying “Thank you so much”. Now, Sikoa has done something similar.

After hitting the diving splash, Solo Sikoa uttered, ‘Thank You’ to Hayes while pinning him for the three count. You can check out the video clip below:

The Bloodline stable comprising the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, the Undisputed WWE Tag-Team Champions, The Usos had been dominant on SmackDown.  Sikoa, who is the younger brother of The Usos and Roman Reigns’ cousin made his main roster debut at Clash at the Castle.

He had interfered during the headlining title match between Reigns and Drew McIntyre and helped ‘The Tribal Chief’ to successfully retain his title. Solo Siko then officially joined The Bloodline on last week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown. With Sikoa’s title win, every member of The Bloodline (except Sami Zayn) now holds gold.
