Paul Heyman sheds light on the plan

Heyman, formerly known as Paul E. Dangerously, founded the group during his time in the AWA in 1987. He went on to create various Dangerous Alliance incarnations in WCW and ECW before disbanding the faction in 1995.

Speaking in a Hot 101.9 interview, Heyman was asked to fantasy book a new Dangerous Alliance in 2022. In response, he continued to leave fans guessing on where his allegiances lie between Lesnar and Reigns. The former ECW owner also joked that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon could join the group due to his financial might:

“Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns. And just so I could have a percentage of his stock earnings… Vince McMahon,” said Heyman.

With Paul Heyman working as its leader, The Dangerous Alliance consisted of some of the biggest names in wrestling. Arn Anderson, Bobby Eaton, Larry Zbyszko, Madusa, Rick Rude, and ”Stunning” Steve Austin were among the group’s most notable stars.

Paul Heyman also had a stint as Brock Lesnar’s on-screen advocate between 2012 and 2020 after previously working as The Beast Incarnate’s agent in 2002. Lesnar was away from the company from since April 2020 until he made his epic comeback in August last year, during which time Heyman became Roman Reigns’ special counsel. Heyman was recently fired by ‘The Tribal Chief’ and he was associated with ‘The Beast Incarnate.’

It was recently announced that Lesnar having Heyman in his corner will face Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns will face off Seth Rollins at upcoming the Royal Rumble on January 29.

Brock Lesnar is likely to stay until 2023

Brock Lesnar made a huge surprise return to WWE as he immediately confronted Roman Reigns following his successful Universal Title defense against John Cena in the main event of SummerSlam. It seems he is set to feud with ‘The Tribal Chief’ for the title.

Recent reports stated that the return of ‘The Beast Incarnate’ was a last-minute call. His deal came together at the last minute so that SummerSlam would have a big moment to close the show. New details regarding his latest contract have emerged.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Brock Lesnar is now under contract with WWE for “roughly a year and a half, and at least eight matches,” but the contract is open to being renegotiated and changed if the company want him to work in more matches within that timeframe.

After an absence of long sixteen months, Brock Lesnar made his return to the comapny. There have been multiple talks regarding his contract negotiations with the company. This is the longest that Lesnar’s been away from WWE since 2012.

It has also been confirmed that WWE will position Lesnar as a babyface on SmackDown starting this Friday as he reignites his long on and off again feud with Roman Reigns. This is the first time in the history of their feud that the roles will be reversed.

Samoa Joe opens up Brock Lesnar

The recently crowned WWE NXT Champion Samoa Joe recently had nothing but praise for Brock Lesnar, as he referred the WWE Universal Champion as one of the most incredible athletes he’s shared the ring with.

The two heavyweights had battled each other in a singles competition for the first time at the Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view in 2017 for the Universal Championship. Brock Lesnar successfully defeated Samoa Joe to retain his Title.

During an exclusive interview with GiveMeSports, Samoa Joe lauded his arch-rival Brock Lesnar. Here is what he had to say:

“For Brock, an incredible athlete. Probably one of the most incredible athletes I’ve been in the ring with.”

Brock Lesnar makes a comeback to WWE

Roman Reigns and John Cena had a brutal battle in the main event of SummerSlam. All the hype and build-up led to the epic showdown between two of the greatest stars of the company.

Reigns had raised the stakes of the match as he had stated that if he had lost the match then he would leave WWE. But, that did not happen as John Cena could not dethrone ‘The Tribal Chief’ and fell another victim to the WWE Universal Champion.

After keeping the fans to the edge of the seats and multiple near pinfalls, it was Roman Reigns who left Allegiant Stadium as the WWE Universal Champion.

But just when everyone thought the night was over, in came ‘The Beast’ Brock Lesnar to a great reception from the Las Vegas crowd. He marched down the ramp and entered the ring to have an epic staredown with the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

It is not unknown that Lesnar and Cena were involved in a fierce rivalry in the past. After the show went off-air, ‘The Beast’ sent John Cena to ‘Suplex City’. Video clips started circulating Lesnar attacking Cena with Suplex.

What is next?

It is likely that Reigns and Lesnar would be involved in a feud and ‘The Beast Incarnate’ is eyeing to capture the WWE Universal title. With Paul Heyman in the mix, it would be interesting to see how the story pans out between Reigns and Lesnar.

It is to be noted that Heyman is currently ‘The Special Counsel’ to Roman Reigns. But, earlier he was the on-screen advocate of Brock Lesnar.

Earlier in the night, it was Becky Lynch, who made her much-awaited return to the company. She went on to challenge Bianca Belair for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship and captured the title.

They claim the list to be quite comprehensive, including those who would never be called in the draft, including the likes of The Undertaker and Goldberg, legends seemingly retired or not particularly assigned to a brand.

However, the name of “The Beast Incarnate” does not exist in the above-mentioned internal list. Ringside News further claims that the creative has no plan for him and no discussion about his return has been conducted. Thus, Lesnar does not seem to be an option for the draft, nor a certain presence when WWE returns to the road.

“There’s are conflicting Brock Lesnar reports, so let’s settle this. Lesnar’s name is not listed on an internal list of possible Draft choices. When creative asked about Lesnar, we were told that “it was made clear ‘there are no plans with Brock. We’re not even in discussions,”” Steve Carrier of Ringside News shared via Twitter.

What are the plans for Brock Lesnar?

It noted that many people within WWE who are trying to save Brock Lesnar’s return for a big match against the current WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Lesnar has been rumored to return to WWE for the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view in August but that has not been confirmed.

The early plans for the ‘Biggest Party of The Summer’ included The Beast Incarnate which means he was planned for a return and a potential match at the event. But, nothing has been made official as of yet.

Fans have been eager to see Brock Lesnar and WWE Champion Bobby Lashley in a bout, which is a dream match that never took place, neither in the squared circle or octagon.

There has been speculations for the two behemoths to go head to head and The Almighty had even expressed his desire to take on the former WWE Champion. Dave Meltzer on the Sunday Night’s Main Event podcast recently confirmed that match has not been planned for the event as of yet.

Will Brock Lesnar return soon?

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon will make the call to bring The Beast back in the company but it is unlikely anytime soon. It has been also reported that personnels in the company are willing to bring back Lesnar for a feud with Roman Reigns when he is ready to feud with him.

Lesnar’s WWE contract reportedly expired last August and both the parties did not agree upon a new deal. Lesnar’s merchandise was removed from WWE Shop, but he has remained a member of the RAW roster. Though his deal expired last year, it’s always been expected that he will return to WWE eventually.

Recently Paul Heyman also teased a potential return of The Beast stating that he might make his return when WWE will start holding the live shows in front of the crowd from next month.

This year’s WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view is scheduled for Saturday, August 21 from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The 1992 SummerSlam was taped on a Saturday in England, this year will mark the first time that the second biggest pay-per-view of WWE will air on a Saturday night. We will certainly see if Brock Lesnar makes his return at the event.

“When I heard that I thought that they are building toward Lashley vs Lesnar. That is a match that they have not done. It is a match that people have been asking for a long time and maybe that’s their plan for SummerSlam. Maybe that is their plan for WrestleMania, etc,” Alvarez had reported.

REIGNS BELIEVES THAT LESNAR’S SCHEDULE HURT THE CHAMPIONSHIP

The WWE Universal Championship has mostly not been seen to be as important as the WWE Championship by the fans. Reigns says it is mostly because of Lesnar’s part-time schedule and it is only now that he has been able to let audience appreciate the Championship.

“It’s really put this Universal Championship on the map because when we debuted it a few years ago, it kind of struggled, and the title reigns weren’t what we had hoped for. There were a lot of injuries and then there’s a lot of gripes about once Brock Lesnar, who had a pretty long and illustrious title reign… but he wasn’t quite as active as some of our hardcore and dedicated fans had hoped. But what I’ve done over the past plus 30 weeks I think is second to none, and we’re just gonna continue to add to that legacy and really set this apart from everybody else,” Reigns commented to WWE Now India.

Paul Heyman reveals when Brock Lesnar could return to WWE

The WWE fans were not allowed to attend the shows and they had stopped the WWE live events in different cities amid the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. WWE did introduce ThunderDome. The fans had been eager to head back into the arenas for the WWE shows.

The wait is finally over as WWE fans would allowed to attend events again. The company recently announced a 25-city summer tour in front of fans, which will begin with the July 16 episode of SmackDown in Houston, Texas. Fans will also be in attendance two nights later at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view in Fort Worth, Texas.

Paul Heyman, during a recent interview with Houston radio station SportsTalk 790, went on to drop a possible hint that Lesnar has “maybe” been waiting for fans to return.

Paul Heyman said that Lesnar makes all the decision for himself. If he wants to return, eventually he would. He said:

“Asking me about Brock Lesnar is a highly intelligent question and I commend you on your efforts.However, it’s a hypothetical. Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants to do. If Brock Lesnar wanted to be back in WWE at this moment, at this particular time and place, he would be.”

The former advocate of Lesnar said that The Beast Might be waiting for the live events to resume. There is a huge possibility that he wants the big-ticket return in front of the WWE Universe.

He said: “Maybe, maybe he has been waiting for the live events, and maybe he’ll choose Houston to make that return… or maybe not, because Brock Lesnar is going to do whatever Brock Lesnar wants to do.”

There has been specualtions who could be the opponent of Lesnar upon his return. The fans have been talking about a dream match between WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and Lesnar as they have never crossed paths.The Almighty has also spoken about a possible feud with Lesnar.

The Beast could also be put in a storyline with WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, with Paul Heyman in the mix.
