The former NXT star Kyle O’Reilly made his surprise debut on this week’s Holiday Bash edition of AEW Dynamite. Adam Cole had recently joined AEW, followed by Bobby Fish and now Kyle O’Reilly joined the promotion as they had the Undisputed Era reunion. After several speculations over his contract status, it turned out that Kyle O’Reilly became a free agent and was free to join any promotion he wanted. He decided to join his former Undisputed Era stablemates and they are eyeing to be a dominant group just like they were in WWE NXT. The former Undisputed Era leader, Adam Cole also spoke about the reunion.

Adam Cole breaks his silence on Kyle O’Reilly’s debut

Adam Cole had previously said that there is a surprise for everyone which he would unveil on this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite. It was none other than the debut of O’Reilly. Kyle O’Reilly was a part of WWE’s NXT brand from 2017 to late 2021, with his final match taking place against Von Wagner in a Steel Cage match.

Cole took to his Twitter account and posted a Tweet stating that the game had changed, which indicated that he might stick alongside O’Reilly and Fish moving forward.

“The game has changed,” tweeted Adam Cole.

Check out the former NXT Champion’s tweet below:

The game has changed @AEW pic.twitter.com/i3nCFk0dXv

O’Reilly showed up during the closing moments of the event’s opening match, featuring Adam Cole and Orange Cassidy. Just when it looked like the latter was on the verge of winning, O’Reilly came to the rescue of his former Undisputed Era stablemate and helped him win the match.

Adam Cole looked a little anxious when he came across O’Reilly in the ring, they later came together, with Bobby Fish joining them to take down the Best Friends. When Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly were last together in WWE NXT, they were embroiled in a bitter rivalry.

AEW President also took to his Twitter account and confirmed the signing of O’Reilly to AEW. You can check out his Tweet below:

Welcome to @AEW…
Kyle O’Reilly (@KORcombat) is #AllElite! #AEWDynamite pic.twitter.com/wOEKhP6Ckh

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) didn’t look very happy with Cole after O’Reilly’s debut. This could be a hint of a potential rivalry, between the team of Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, and Kyle O’Reilly with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega, whenever The Cleaner returns to AEW. We will see how things turn out in the coming future.

Adam Cole is undoubtedly one of the greatest stars in pro-wrestling history. His stint in WWE ended after his contract dispute in the company and he later decided to join All Elite Wrestling(AEW). He was immediately allied with The Young Bucks to reunite the SuperKliq stable. The brother duo has been lashed out on multiple occasions for the antics inside and outside the ring and for their outfits as well. Recently, pro-wrestling booker Jim Cornette spoke his mind and lambasted Adam Cole and The Young Bucks for their booking in Tony Khan’s promotion.

Jim Cornette expresses distaste towards Adam Cole

Adam Cole recently recruited his former Undisputed Era stablemate, Bobby Fish. The duo recently came up short against Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus on AEW Rampage. While speaking on the Drive-Thru podcast, Jim Cornette expressed his frustration over AEW’s higher-ups for the way they have booked the former NXT Champion Adam Cole. The angles have been heavily criticized.

Cornette noted that that the angle might eventually lead to a split between Adam Cole and Bobby Fish. The wrestling manager called Cole a ‘comedy’ stooge for The Young Bucks and is extremely displeased with their alliance:

“They’re beating Fish to death. I’m afraid now they’re gonna break up Cole and Fish instead of Cole and the Cucamonga kids, and we’ve gotta watch Adam Cole lower himself to be a comedy stooge to a couple of middle school children…their chronological ages don’t reflect their mental ages because emotionally they’re 12. Their physical size put them more at 10, but they’re middle-aged Jack-offs, and Cole is gonna be with them.”

Cornette further added that Cole used to be his favorite wrestler in NXT but can’t stand any of his matches in AEW so far.

Adam Cole and Bobby Fish are set to once again team-up this week and they will take on the team of Orange Cassidy and Wheeler Yuta in a tag team match. The bout has been scheduled to take place during the Black Friday edition of AEW Rampage.

Last week, The former Undisputed Era members lost their first match together, so it will be interesting to see if they win this Friday. Previously, Adam Cole left Fish in the ring to the hands of The Jurrassic Express. So it won’t be surprising if Fish plans a swerve.

The former NXT star Adam Cole recently joined All Elite Wrestling(AEW) after some disputes over his contract in WWE. He shook the pro-wrestling world when he made his debut at AEW All Out pay-per-view. On the same night, Bryan Danielson(Daniel Bryan in WWE) also joined Tony Khan’s company. Adam Cole is seemingly loving the idea that former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens might also join AEW eventually when his contract ends. The former Undisputed Era leader recently joined Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette as he discussed the matter.

Cole and Bryan Danielson became two of the hottest free agents in the pro-wrestling industry recently and they both decided to join AEW. Now as it turns out Kevin Owens, whose contract with WWE expires early next year could follow their footsteps.

Cole spoke about Kevin Owens and sent a message to him telling him to do what makes him happy, though he can’t deny he’d love to see his former Mt. Rushmore stablemate join him in AEW.

Here is what he said:

“I mean this because I’m friends with Kevin. I want Kevin to do what makes him happiest,” Cole said. “I really mean it, I mean it in my soul. However, of course I would love the idea of him joining me, and the Young Bucks, and everyone else here. That would be incredible. However, I do want Kevin to be happy. So there’s no part of me that would be angry or upset with whatever his decision is.”

ALSO READ: He’s a f***ing heel: Seth Rollins heavily criticized for a backstage segment

Kevin Owens himself had previously fueled speculations of his departure from WWE when he quickly tweeted and deleted the coordinates of Mount Rushmore. ‘Mount Rushmore’ was also the name of a stable of PWG comprising Kevin Owens, The Young Bucks, and Adam Cole. Three of those four names are already in AEW.

Owens has also dropped some other hints on social media regarding this and created even more buzz around the topic of him potentially leaving WWE.

We have already seen former WWE stars like Andrade El Idolo,Malakai Black, Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole join AEW in the recent past. Who knows KO might also be heading to AEW.

After weeks of speculations regarding his contract, Adam Cole finally made a switch to Tony Khan’s AEW. His first offense in AEW came against Jungle Boy after he connected with a devastating superkick on the 24-year old. Cole then pulled off a swerve and re-joined The Elite after they parted ways several years ago.

Speaking on the All Out Post-Show Media Scrum, Adam Cole revealed the stars he wants to face in AEW, but Jungle Boy was first on his list. Here is what he said:

“There are definitely some people I’m looking forward to stepping into the ring with,” said Cole. “Number one is the gentleman that I kicked tonight and that’s Jungle Boy. He is an incredibly talented young man with a huge future and a guy I would love to kick in the face again.”

He did not stop just there and he continued to name some more stars for potential matches in the future. Adam Cole said:

“But, oh my gosh, Darby Allin, MJF, CM Punk, Christian Cage,” Cole added. “So many different options, so many different choices. Really, I can’t think of anyone on this roster who I wouldn’t look forward to facing, except for The Elite.”

ALSO READ: The New Day pay tribute to The Outsiders on RAW; WWE Legend reacts

Adam Cole is likely to be making an appearance on this week’s AEW Dynamite this Wednesday. The roster is improving more with time and AEW seems to be heading into its next major show: AEW Dynamite Grand Slam which is expected to be another success.

After Cole attacked Jungle Boy, The Elite seemingly got the upper hand over the babyface side at the NOW Arena in Chicago. But moments later, it was Bryan Danielson who walked out to a huge reception from the crowd and was able to even the odds to close the show.

There have been talks for weeks about the next destination of Adam Cole and Daniel Bryan. Cole’s contract had previously ended and he had penned down a short extension with the company which came to an end after his loss against Kyle O’Reilly at NXT TakeOver 36. He decided not to sign a contract and became a free agent.

While Daniel Bryan went off the programming since losing to WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns back in April. It was soon noted that he also decided against signing a new deal with WWE and became a free agent. Reports stated that he was AEW bound and that is what happened.

Earlier in the night, Ruby Soho(Ruby Riott in WWE) made a shocking debut at All Out pay-per-view. She was revealed as the surprise 21st entrant in the Women’s Casino Battle Royal, which she went on to win by last eliminating Thunder Rosa.

ALSO READ: Ruby Soho makes a huge AEW debut at All Out PPV, wins Women’s Casino Battle Royal

Just when the fans thought the night was over, AEW had some more surprises in store for them. Following Kenny Omega’s successful AEW World Championship defense against Impact Wrestling World Champion Christian Cage, The Elite began a brutal assault on the veteran star.

The Jurassic Express had come to the aid of stars but was not enough and then Adam Cole came out but turned on them and joined forces with The Elite. But that was not the end as Daniel Bryan came out next as well but helped the babyface side to a huge pop.

Amid the speculation of Cole’s next move in his pro wrestling career, AEW star Matt Hardy shared a picture of him with Cole from 2014 when they were both a part of the Ring Of Honor(ROH) roster.

Matt Hardy went on to caption the following:

“#TBT 2014 Lots of buzz on @AdamColePro right now. I’m not surprised at all, he’s one of the elite in this industry. Let’s not forget – The #KingMaker Big Money Matt was his original mentor in ROH, of course he’s gonna be a rock star.”

Adam Cole’s recent contract dispute has been a huge topic. It was initially thought that the contract of former NXT Champion would expire in early 2022 but it turned out that that Cole’s deal expired following NXT The Great American Bash last month. He had ended up agreeing to a short-term extension and never renewed the contract.

ALSO READ: Booker T addresses Adam Cole’s AEW rumors, reveals his take on the huge switch

Amid this, Canyon Ceman, Senior Director of Talent Development of WWE was reportedly at fault and found himself released in the process. It was previously noted that Adam Cole and Johnny Gargano hosted a stream on Amazon Live Thursday evening to reveal new WWE products from Mattel.

This led to speculation that Cole might be staying with the WWE. However, PWInsider confirmed that the stream was taped several weeks ago, and there was no change in Cole’s WWE status as of Thursday. Several reports further indicated that Cole hasn’t re-signed a deal with WWE and is likely to depart the company in the coming days.

AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and AEW World Tag-Team Champions The Young Bucks have also dropped several hints on social media over the past week or so, indicating that Cole is likely to join AEW. We will have to see if there is any last-minute changes or Adam Cole goes ‘All Elite’.

Handful of former WWE stars have made their way to AEW after leaving Vince McMahon’s company. Adam Cole, whose contract is set to expire soon could land in AEW as well. Now, Booker T believes that it wouldn’t be a smart move for the former Undisputed Era leader to part ways with WWE and join AEW down the road.

Booker T, on his Hall of Fame podcast, discussed the recent rumors on Cole’s contract status. The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion said that Cole should not depart WWE as he has worked hard to get to the position that he is in presently and he could ‘throw it all away’ by leaving the company. He said:

“Adam Cole, one thing he needs to know, that AEW is going to be there for him. It’s going to be there. So, you better get what you need to get out of this (WWE) for as long as you possibly can and then if something happens, you think about what comes next.”

ALSO READ: Is Adam Cole ready to leave WWE? Reportedly turned down new contract offers

He added: “You do the job to the best of your ability to whatever comes next. If that’s his choice, that’s his choice. But I think Adam Cole worked a hell of a long time to get to that point and to just throw it all away because of what you hear on social media, I just don’t think that would be smart.”

Adam Cole could leave soon

Adam Cole has been with WWE since 2017 when he made his debut at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III. Cole was the leader of one of the most dominant factions in NXT history, The Undisputed Era.

He has held the NXT Championship once in his WWE career, in 2019. He holds the record for the longest reign of the title which is 403 days. He has also won the NXT North American Championship once.

We will see if Cole follows the path of several former WWE stars who have inked a deal with AEW.

There have been multiple speculations regarding the future of NXT star Adam Cole in WWE. Amid the turmoil which has been caused recently, he has reportedly turned down several new contract offers from the company. It is being speculated that his current deal is set to expire this month.

Adam Cole still has not inked a new deal

<img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-21534" src="https://www.thesportsroom.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/adam-cole-nxt-wwe-3-1024x576.jpg" alt="Adam Cole" width="696" height="392" title="Is Adam Cole ready to leave WWE?
It has been heavily reported that Cole’s current WWE deal is due to expire the weekend of SummerSlam 2021 and therefore his final appearance for the company will be at NXT TakeOver 36, where he is likely to face his former Undisputed Era stablemate, Kyle O’ Reilly.

Amid this, Canyon Ceman, Senior Director of Talent Development of WWE was reportedly at fault and found himself released in the process. Now, more details about Cole’s future have now seemingly come to light.

ALSO READ: Adam Cole comments on the dissolution of The Undisputed Era

As per the reports of PWUnlimited, Cole has already turned down multiple new contract offers from WWE. It is not known what was included in those offers but apparently, the deals which were put on the table were not something that would lure Cole to stay with Vince McMahon’s company.

Departure of Adam Cole will be a major loss for WWE

It is just three weeks to go until his WWE deal expires and as per the latest indications, Cole could be parting ways with WWE at the end of his contract. If Cole does not pen down a fresh deal with WWE and lets his contract expire there will not be a no-compete clause, which means he would be free to appear for another company as soon as he would want.

Cole has been in the top-tier of the gold and black brand. He was able to achieve a lot on the brand and led The Undisputed Era to become one of the dominant stables in the history of WWE. He has been heavily featured in the main-event picture of the brand and WWE should immediately strike a new deal with the star but as of now, his future in WWE remains in the air.

THE UNDISPUTED ERA WAS A POPULAR FACTION FROM ITS DEBUT TO ITS VIOLENT DISSOLUTION

The Undisputed Era was a faction in WWE NXT that originally consisted of Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish. They were later joined by Roderick Strong following a memorable match and segment. At oje point, The Undisputed Era simultaneously held all of the three male titles on NXT, with Cole being the NXT Champion, O’Reilly and Fish the NXT Tag Team Champions and Strong the NXT North American Champion. They were the first NXT faction to achieve this record.

The prospect of seeing The Undisputed Era on the main roster was bright, and at one point, it seemed inevitable. However, WWE decided to violently break up the team in the black-and-gold brand itself, when Cole attacked O’Reilly during the conclusion and aftermath of NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day.

ADAM COLE FELT SCARED AT THE PROSPECT OF NOT WORKING ALONGSIDE THE THREE

On Inside The Ropes podcast, the former NXT Champion discussed his feelings when decision was taken the split the faction he had worked as a part of since his NXT debut. He was so used to working with his partners that he felt scared at the prospect of going solo.

“I had been literally attached at the hip to Kyle, Bobby, and my entire run in NXT. The moment I debuted I was standing beside Kyle and Bobby. Everything I had known about my time in NXT was Undisputed Era. So, it’s scary at the idea of going ‘Okay, we’re going to go in a different direction’,” He said.

HOWEVER, HE BELIEVES IT WAS THE CORRECT DECISION

Cole went on to say that the decision was taken extremely fast and he had to look at a new future without any sort of preparation. The creatives told him about it and he had to carry on with the plan. However, he believed that the decision was correct.

“Also, it happened so fast. It wasn’t like this thing that we were preparing for,” revealed Cole. “It’s something that kind of fell into our laps and was like ‘Okay, this is where we’re going’. (We had) very little time to process it, very little time to think about it. But looking at it now, I absolutely think it was the right call,” Cole added.

He went on to say that while he had the time of his life being a part of The Undisputed Era, and that the chemistry between the four of them were so special that no time would have been suitable for the thought of a split, he still believed the decision taken by WWE to split them and freshen up their solo careers and the main-event scene of NXT, was a correct decision.

“It’s never going to feel, especially when you have the chemistry that myself, Kyle, and Bobby had, it’s never going to feel like the perfect time. However, I do think that development wise for all of us individually, it’s been really, really important to kind of go into that direction. I had the time of my life in The Undisputed Era, I really, really did. But I do think it was a good call,” he commented.

NXT star Johnny Gargano recently recalled his reign as the NXT Champion back in 2019. He had defeated Adam Cole in a two-out-of-three falls match to win the vacant NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver: New York. It is arguably one of the best matches in recent history.

However, his reign did not last long as expected. He recently reflected on the reign and called it ’embarrassing’.

Johnny Gargano opens up on the NXT Championship reign

During the NXT TakeOver: In Your House Global Press Conference, Johnny Gargano discussed his run as NXT Champion. He further shared his thoughts ahead of te title match at NXT TakeOver: In Your House tonight.

He said: “That title run was an embarrassment. The NXT Twitter account asked people a few months ago what their favorite NXT TakeOver match was and the name Johnny Gargano trended because I was in so many answers. There’s always this debate of the mount rushmore of NXT and I’m on about 75% of those lists.”

Johnny Gargano continues, “But that 25%, that’s what eats me alive. This Sunday, I win the NXT Championship again and I kill that 25%, I will leave no doubt. Johnny Gargano is the man in NXT”

Johnny Gargano went on to lose the title to Adam Cole at NXT TakeOver: XXV who held the title for record-setting 403 days.

Johnny Gargano wants to prove his doubters wrong

Johnny Gargano has set his eye on the NXT Championship and he will go up against top stars of the gold and black brand at NXT TakeOver: In Your House in a fatal 5-way match. He will clash with the champion, Karrion Kross, Adam Cole, Pete Dunne and Kyle O’Reilly for the coveted title.

Johnny Wrestling also explained how this title win will be more satisfying than the previous one. He recalled his emotional journey in the past and how he beat Adam Cole by tapping him out. But he said this time around it will be different.

The former NXT Champion wants to capture the NXT title so that he could prove his doubters wrong. he said that he wants the prove to the critics that he has the capability to be the face of the brand and it is very important for him to be triumphant at NXT TakeOver: In Your House.

Will Johnny Gargano be able to outlast the four other stars to win the NXT Championship again? Only time will tell.
